Biography of Nikolay Stepanov
Nikolay Stepanov is a contemporary author of action and time travel science fiction genres. He was born in the autumn of 1964 in the mining town of Petrovskoe, located in the Luhansk region of Ukraine. From his school years, Stepanov developed a passion for reading historical, adventure, and science fiction novels. After completing school, he enrolled in the Faculty of Aircraft at the Kharkiv Aviation Institute. He later moved to Obninsk, where he made his debut as a writer.
Initially, Stepanov started by writing scripts for youth gatherings and comedy television shows. However, his true passion lied in writing science fiction stories. Inspired by a writers' festival in Kharkiv, he wrote his first science fiction novella, which unfortunately was rejected by publishers. Undeterred, Stepanov continued to refine his craft.
His breakthrough came in 2003 with the publication of his novel "Under the Sign of Dargo." This work was a collaborative effort with all members of his family. It marked a significant turning point in Stepanov's writing career and gained attention from readers and critics alike.
