Early Life and Education

Oksana Kozut was born in Lviv, Ukraine, to Vladimir and Lyubov-Ksenia Kozut. Her father was a choreographer and theatrical figure. In 1986, Kozut began her studies in philology at Lviv State University, graduating as a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature in 1991.

Teaching Career

From 1991 to 1994, Kozut worked as a Ukrainian language and literature teacher at School No. 4 in Lviv. In 1994, she joined the First Ukrainian Theater for Children and Youth as a teacher-organizer. She later became the theater's chief administrator (1998) and deputy director (2000).

Further Education and Management Roles

In 2002, Kozut enrolled in the National Academy of State Administration under the President of Ukraine, earning a master's degree in project management in 2003. She also served as a trainer-expert for the Western Ukrainian Training Center of the Ukrainian-American Program. In 2003-2004, Kozut was the CEO of the "Jazz Theater" LLC.

Commercial Director of the Kyiv National Opera Theater

In 2004, Kozut became the deputy director of the Kyiv State Opera Theater. Since 2006, she has held the position of commercial director of the theater, overseeing its commercial, international, and diplomatic operations.

Cultural Diplomacy and Festival Involvement

Kozut is actively involved in cultural diplomacy and has organized numerous concert projects with support from embassies in Ukraine and abroad. She is a member of the jury of theater festivals and competitions. Since 2004, Kozut has co-organized the annual Unity International Jazz Festival and has successfully hosted 16 international jazz festivals in Ukraine. She has also been involved in the International Music Festival "O-Fest" since 2013 and the International Festival of Arts "Carpathian Space" since 2016.

Family and Personal Life

Kozut is married and has a son, Andriy Glivka, who is a political scientist and advisor to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

Recognition and Honors

For her contributions to the arts, Kozut has received numerous awards, including:

- Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine (2010)

- Order of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara, 2nd degree (2010)
- All-Ukrainian Prize "Woman of the Third Millennium" (2012)
- Order of Princess Olga, 3rd degree (2020)
