Born on December 14, 1983, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian SSR, the athlete received a higher education from ZNU, majoring in Physical Education and Economics.

Martial Arts Career

Prior to pursuing kickboxing, the sportsman trained in Kyokushin karate, hand-to-hand combat, and wrestling. In 2001, he transitioned to kickboxing under the tutelage of Honored Coach of Ukraine Valery Vladimirovich Leontyev at the Impulse sports club.

Competitive Success

After entering the ring, the athlete achieved notable tournament victories, including a 2nd place finish at the Ukrainian All-Ukrainian Tournament A. Khomenko in 2003 and a triumphant first place at the European Cup in Seghed, Hungary in 2004. He also became the IAKSA Federation's European Cup Champion in the under-80 kg weight category that same year.
