Olga Gorbacheva Biography
Olga Gorbacheva, a popular pop singer, presenter, and close friend of Irina Bilyk, spoke to "Komsomolskaya Pravda" about the difficulties Ukrainian pop diva faces in finding her personal happiness. After the release of the black and white lyrical music video of Irina Bilyk and Olga Gorbacheva for the song "Ne Revnuyu" (I'm Not Jealous) about the love of two women for one man, rumors started circulating in the press that the two former wives of famous producer Yuri Nikitin still dedicate songs to him, unable to forget their feelings. However, Olga Gorbacheva, answering questions from our readers during an online conference at the "KP" editorial office, denied this information: "Do you really think we are interested in constantly singing about Yura? By the way, these rumors started with Irina's mother. After watching the video, she asked, almost in tears, 'Is this about Nikitin again?' and Ira firmly replied, 'No, mom.' In Ira's case, her relationship with Yura is over, unlike ours. It's like a long-playing TV series that has been going on for 14 years now. As a result, I am now a co-author of the book 'How to Bring a Man Back to the Family?'. In reality, this song is written about a man with whom Ira never had anything. It was a three-day infatuation. It is very beneficial for a creative woman to have some attraction, a connection to a man, which gives birth to very beautiful songs. But the most important thing is that when you feel this infatuation, you should not enter into a relationship. In this way, you sublimate sexual energy into creative energy and, moreover, do not ruin your life with someone you do not understand."
Relationship with Jean-Claude Van Damme
When asked about her current relationship with Jean-Claude Van Damme, Olga Gorbacheva revealed that she and Irina Bilyk occasionally exchange tender text messages with him and he responds to them. She believes that they have left an impression on him. Although she never considered looking at him as a man personally, she admits that he is a very interesting person. As for Irina, the presence of a girl from Kryvyi Rih, Van Damme's girlfriend at the time, did not bother her. Olga mentions that they only saw her once or twice in their lives. Interestingly, when they met and interacted with Van Damme during the filming of their joint music video, he was accompanied by his wife, with whom he had a similar story as Olga with Nikitin: they married twice, divorced twice, and still maintain excellent relations.
Olga Gorbacheva's Career
Olga Gorbacheva is known as the host of the most famous music TV shows "Meloramy" and "Pesni Goda" on the Ukrainian channel "Inter". She was born in Kryvyi Rih. As a high school graduate, Olga moved to Kyiv to apply for military translation studies. At the same time, she enrolled in the Institute of Foreign Languages, choosing not to live in military barracks. Like any college student, she looked for ways to earn extra money by giving lessons to children and leading city tours for foreigners with her friends.
During her second year of studies, Olga heard an announcement about auditions for hosts at "Biz-TV". Initially, she saw it as an opportunity to earn some extra income. During the auditions, Olga amazed everyone with her knowledge of "material" and gossip about all the musicians. This marked the beginning of Olga Gorbacheva's career on the first Ukrainian music channel, "Biz-TV". Over time, in addition to hosting the show, she was also responsible for selecting all the music content for the channel.
In 2007, Olga received well-deserved recognition among professionals as she was awarded the highest journalism award, the "Golden Feather," for being the best host of entertainment programs on Ukrainian television. In the same year, the group "Arktika" was created, with Olga, Rita, and Dasha becoming the vocalists.
In 2009, the group released their second album, "Belaya Zvezda" (White Star). In the summer of 2010, Olga Gorbacheva and her friend, People's Artist of Ukraine Irina Bilyk, literally took the Ukrainian music market by storm with the hit song "Ya Lyublyu Ego" (I Love Him), which featured Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme in the music video.
Currently, the group actively tours in Ukraine and Europe. Olga Gorbacheva is a TV presenter and the face of the music channel "M1".
