Early Life and Education

Una Chaplin was born on June 4, 1986, in Madrid, Spain, to Chilean cinematographer Patricio Castilla and British-American actress Geraldine Chaplin. Her lineage includes renowned figures such as Charlie Chaplin and Nobel laureate Eugene O'Neill. The family's nomadic lifestyle took young Una from Spain to England, Scotland, and even Cuba.

In her early years, Una attended a dance school where she studied salsa and flamenco. At age 15, she enrolled at Gordonstoun School in Scotland, the alma mater of Prince Charles of Wales.
