Early Life and CareerUna King's political journey began as a researcher for the European Parliament. In 1997, she made history as the second Black woman elected to the House of Commons, following Diane Abbott.
Personal Life
On July 15, 1994, King married Tiberio Santomarco, with whom she had been dating for three years. Together, they have four children: three adopted children, Elio Santomarco (born 2005), Kaia Santomarco (born 2007), and Ariel Santomarco (born 2011), and one son born via surrogacy, Tullio Jahan Santomarco (born October 10, 2013).
