Early Life and Education
Orkhan Mammadov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan on July 1, 1984. He began his education at School No. 6 in 1991 and graduated in 2001. From 2001 to 2005, he pursued a bachelor's degree in international relations at Baku State University.
Mammadov's international education continued at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, where he completed the International Business and Finance Program in 2005. He obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Odlar Yurdu University from 2007 to 2009. He furthered his studies in finance and credit at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
Professional Career
Mammadov's professional journey began in 2006-2007 as a senior consultant at the International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan. He subsequently held positions as Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship Development Policy (2007-2009) and Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations (2009-2011) at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2011 to 2014, he headed the Department of Interstate Economic Cooperation within the same ministry. In 2014-2016, Mammadov led the Department of Interstate Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He continued in this role at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 2016 to 2018.
On February 27, 2018, Mammadov was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where he remains today.
Other Affiliations
Beyond his government positions, Mammadov holds honorary roles as President and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the football club "Zira" and Honorary President of the Football Federation of Azerbaijan.

Mammadov is fluent in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, and Turkish. He is married and has three children.
