Early Life and Education:

The German veterinarian and professor began his professional journey after completing his specialized studies in Berlin.

Professional Career:

In 1870, he was appointed as a professor at the Dresden Veterinary School. Nine years later, in 1879, he was named the Inspector of Veterinary Services in Saxony, a position known as Landesthierarzt.

Scientific Contributions:

Throughout his career, he conducted extensive research in pathological anatomy and physiology. His findings were published in the journal "Berichte uber das Weterinarwesen im Konigreich Sachsen."

Collaboration:

In collaboration with Victor Hofmeister, he authored the book "Anleitung zur mikroskopischen und chemischen Diagnostik" in 1876, an essential guide to microscopic and chemical diagnostics in veterinary medicine.
