Academic Achievements

Nailia Fuad Musayeva received her Doctor of Science degree in 2002 and became a Professor in 2007. She currently heads the "Identification of Stochastic Processes" laboratory at the Institute of Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA).

Early Life and Education

Musayeva was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 1957. She graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics from Azerbaijan State Oil and Chemistry Institute in 1979. In 1983, she entered the graduate program at the Azerbaijan State University of Architecture and Construction, specializing in Automation of Technological Processes and Production.

Professional Career

Following her graduation in 1983, Musayeva worked as an engineer-programmer at the "Azer elektroterm" production association. In 1991, she joined the Institute of Control Systems of NASA as a Senior Researcher. In 1997, she became an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Automation of Production Processes at Azerbaijan State University of Architecture and Construction.

Research Contributions

Musayeva's research focuses on algorithms and software for improving estimates of statistical characteristics, conditioning of correlation matrices, and the adequacy of identification. Her significant contributions include:

- Algorithms for analyzing the distribution of interference in noisy processes under various conditions.

- Technologies for calculating interference distribution parameters in noisy stochastic processes.

- Algorithms for determining estimation errors in noisy stochastic processes.

- Technologies for detecting the onset and severity of technical object malfunctions.

- Robust technologies for ensuring adequate identification of technological processes.

- Technology for solving the problem of confluent analysis of noisy technological processes.

Musayeva is a member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Control Systems and the Dissertation Council D 01.121 for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science in various specialties.
