Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene: Prime Minister of Mongolia
Early Life and EducationLuvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene was born on June 29, 1980, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. He began his political career at the age of 21, serving as the chief of staff to the governor of Berkh village in Khentii province. After completing his studies at Harvard University in 2015, he published his second book, "State: Asian Courser," which examined Mongolia's 30-year development policy.
Political Career
Oyun-Erdene has actively participated in politics since 2008, when he was appointed head of the social development department of Bayanzurkh district. He also held various positions within the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), including head of its political department and president of the Mongolian Youth Association for Social Democracy.
In 2016, Oyun-Erdene was elected to the State Great Khural (Parliament). In 2020, he initiated and led the development of "Vision 2050," a 30-year political development program for Mongolia, which was approved by the State Great Khural and came into effect on January 1, 2021.
Prime Ministership
Oyun-Erdene became Prime Minister of Mongolia on January 27, 2021, as leader of the Mongolian People's Party. During his tenure, he has focused on promoting economic development, social welfare, and environmental sustainability.
Books
In addition to his political career, Oyun-Erdene is an author. He wrote his first book, "Vision," in 2005. His second book, "State: Asian Courser," was published in 2015.
National Institute for Policy Research
Oyun-Erdene founded the National Institute for Policy Research "State: Asian Courser" in 2015. This institute aims to conduct research and provide policy recommendations on Mongolia's development.
