Davis attended Charles H. Bird Elementary School in Wisconsin before enrolling in the Louisville Youth Performing Arts School, where she studied the arts. After completing college, Paige became a student at the University of Dallas, attending the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist for a period of time.

Initially, Davis focused on dance and music, performing in musical theater for several years. She excelled in her role as Babette on Broadway. In 1994, Davis married actor Greg Benson, which marked a new chapter in her creative life as she became a wife and had to devote time to her new family.
