Early Life and Career

Italian racing driver, known for his participation in the Formula One World Championship, began his motorsport journey in the 1970s with karting. In the early 1980s, he transitioned to formula racing.

Sports Car Racing Success

From 1983 to 1988, he competed in sports car racing, achieving a notable victory at the 1985 24 Hours of Le Mans behind the wheel of a Porsche. Concurrently, he also participated in Formula 3000 races from 1987 onwards.

Formula One Debut

In 1989-1990, he made his Formula One World Championship debut with the Minardi team. Despite not scoring any points, he gained valuable experience at the pinnacle of motorsport.
