Biography of Patrick Beckert
Early Life and Junior CareerPatrick Beckert, the younger brother of Olympic champion Stephanie Beckert, began his skating journey in his native Germany. He participated in the Junior World Championships in 2007 and 2008.
Olympic Debut at Vancouver 2010
In 2010, Beckert made his Olympic debut at the Vancouver Winter Games. He competed in the 5000-meter event, finishing in 22nd place. Additionally, he was initially listed as a reserve in the 1000-meter race but failed to receive a timely call-up after another skater's withdrawal.
Senior Career
World Championship MedalsBeckert achieved notable success at the World Championships. In 2015 and 2017, he earned bronze medals in the 10,000-meter event.
World Cup Success
In the 2011/2012 World Cup season, Beckert consistently placed third in the team pursuit races. He also claimed a respectable 10th-place finish in the World Allround Championships in 2012.
