Biography of Patrick Todd
Patrick Todd is a promising American athlete and rower. He was born on November 14, 1979, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Todd attended St. Xavier High School, where he developed an interest in various sports, including wrestling. However, it was not until he discovered rowing that he realized his true passion.
Discovering Rowing
While watching rowers train, Todd became intrigued by the sport and decided to give it a try. He quickly realized that rowing was challenging, captivating, and exactly what he had been looking for. With great enthusiasm, Todd started training and soon achieved considerable success.
Education and Continued Pursuit of Rowing
After graduating from St. Xavier High School, Todd pursued his studies at Harvard University, majoring in biochemistry. Throughout his time at Harvard, he continued to actively participate in rowing. By the time he completed his degree in 2002, Todd had already achieved significant accomplishments in the sport.
Achievements and Competitions
Todd's notable competitions include the USRowing Fall Speed Order, National Selection Regatta, U.S. National Championships, Olympic Games (2004), FISA World Cup, FISA World Championships, and more. In the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Todd competed in the lightweight men's quadruple sculls event, finishing in ninth place.
In 2008, Todd participated in the World Championships in Lucerne, where he secured eighth place. He also won a gold medal in the Worlds competition. Presently, Todd is preparing for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Interests and Hobbies
During his free time, Todd enjoys skiing, cycling, cooking (which he excels at), and playing soccer. Soccer has been a lifelong passion for him, and he has displayed exceptional skills, like his father. Additionally, Todd occasionally indulges in watching various television shows and movies.
