Despite vowing to abandon computers upon entering college, Budnitz graduated with honors in fine arts from Yale University in 1990. He pursued filmmaking, creating award-winning movies such as "93 Million Miles from the Sun" (1998) and "Ultraviolet" (1998), which showcased his keen artistic vision.
