Biography of Paul Reiser
Paul Reiser, an American comedian, writer, and actor, was born in 1957 in New York City. He grew up in a family where his mother, Helen, was a homemaker, and his father, Sam Reiser, worked in the health food industry. Reiser attended Binghamton University, specializing in composition and piano performance.

During his college years, Reiser actively participated in local theater productions and performed stand-up comedy routines in New York City clubs during his vacations. He made his film debut in 1982 in Barry Levinson's "Diner," although he gained significant recognition after starring in the television sitcom "My Two Dads."

Reiser further solidified his popularity by appearing in two installments of "Beverly Hills Cop" and James Cameron's "Aliens." He portrayed the character of Stefan in the comedy film "Crazy People" in 1990 and played Phil Golden in Jerry Rees's acclaimed comedy "The Marrying Man" in 1991, alongside Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin.

In 1994, Reiser took on the lead role in Charlie Loventhal's comedy "Mr. Write," followed by a role in Sam Weisman's "Bye Bye Love" in 1995. Director Rob Reiner cast Reiser in his film "The Story of Us" in 1999, starring Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer.

In addition to his on-screen work, Reiser is also known as a writer. He began writing for film and television in the late 1980s and has written numerous screenplays, primarily for television. One of his recent works includes the 2005 comedy film "The Thing About My Folks," in which he also played the lead role alongside Peter Falk.
Reiser has appeared as a guest on various television shows, including "Saturday Night Live," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He is also the author of two books, "Couplehood" and "Babyhood," both of which became bestsellers according to "The New York Times."
Paul Reiser is married to Paula Ravets, and they have two sons who were born in 1995 and 2000.
