In 1957, Perihan Savaş, born Şerife Perihan, entered the world in Istanbul's Aksaray district. At the tender age of five, her aspirations for acting took flight as she joined the Istanbul City Theater, captivating audiences in children's plays. While her family held no ties to the film industry, her conservative mother imposed strict rules, even forbidding her from plucking her eyebrows. Perihan Savaş's filmography boasts numerous feature films and television series. At just 16, she garnered her first Golden Orange Award for Best Actress for her role in the drama "Bedrana." However, her stringent parents prohibited her from attending the ceremony to receive the accolade. Decades later, she was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the festival organizers.
In the popular Turkish series "Çukur" (2016), Savaş played the role of Sultan Koçovalı. With her wealth of experience, she imparted advice to younger actresses, urging them to master the Turkish language and avoid relying solely on beauty to captivate audiences.

Personal Life
At the tender age of 13, Savaş was married off to a 22-year-old military cadet. Their six-month union ended when her husband forbade her from pursuing her artistic dreams.
Savaş's second marriage was to renowned Turkish singer İbrahim Tatlıses in 1979. Their tumultuous relationship included physical abuse and infidelity. The actress filed for divorce after three years. Although their marriage failed, she maintains a positive relationship with Tatlıses as the father of their daughter, Melek Zübeyde.
Her third marriage, to actor Yılmaz Zafer in 1987, proved to be one of her most fulfilling. Zafer had harbored a long-standing infatuation with Savaş since their days in theater school. They eventually reunited and fell deeply in love on the set of the film "Another Hope." Zafer passed away in 1995 after a heart attack left him bedridden for a year and a half. Savaş gives birth to their son, whom they name Savaş Zafer.
Current Projects and Legacy
On February 2, 2024, Savaş starred in the Turkish film "Love Season," which explores the evolving relationship between Shirin and Ali Yaman. Later in 2024, she appears in the historical drama "Wishing Stone" as Macide Rona.
