Biography of Peter Høeg
Peter Høeg is a Danish novelist born on May 17, 1957, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He completed his education by graduating from gymnasium in 1976 and obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Copenhagen in 1984.
Literary Career
Peter Høeg made his literary debut in 1988 with the publication of his novel "Forestilling om det tyvende århundrede" ("Perceptions of the Twentieth Century"). His works, including novels and short stories, have been translated and published in over thirty countries.
Humanitarian Efforts
In 1996, Peter Høeg founded the "Lolwe" foundation, dedicated to providing assistance to women and children in third world countries. He donated his royalties from the publication of the novel "Kvinden og aben" ("The Woman and the Ape") to this foundation.
Awards and Recognition
Peter Høeg has received numerous literary awards and recognition throughout his career. He was awarded the literary prize by the Danish newspaper "Weekendavisen," the P.
