Biography of Peter James Stringfellow
Peter James Stringfellow was born in 1940 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. He was the eldest of four children to Elsie Bowers and James William Stringfellow, a war veteran and steelworker. After finishing school, Peter graduated with a 4th degree diploma from Sheffield Central Technical College.

Early Career and Adventures at Sea
At the age of 13, Peter worked part-time in a cinema and later spent a few weeks as an assistant to a tie salesman. He also worked briefly in an auto repair shop and a hair salon. Peter then found an internship as a cinema mechanic, but his father insisted he become an apprentice turner. After six weeks, Peter realized that a career at sea was more suited to him and joined the merchant navy. His two-year maritime journey took him to Philadelphia, New York, the Caribbean Islands, Venezuela, and many other places. However, after two years, Peter decided that a life at sea was not for him and returned to Sheffield.

A Series of Jobs and Entrepreneurship
Stringfellow's career path continued with various jobs, including photographer, butcher, and even a six-week stint in prison for carpet theft from a factory. During this time, Peter was already married to his first wife, Norma Williams. After numerous attempts to find a stable, profitable, and interesting job, Peter decided to open his own business - a nightclub. In 1962, he leased a venue called 'The Black Cat Club'. Initially, only a few unknown groups performed on his stage, but everything changed in 1963 when 'The Beatles' played at Peter's establishment on April 2nd. Soon after, Peter leased another venue called 'Blue Moon'. The success of this establishment came from popular groups such as 'The Rolling Stones', 'The Big Three', 'Fleetwood Mac', and 'The Nice'. In 1964, another Stringfellow club opened in Sheffield - 'King Mojo Club'.

Expansion and Controversy
In the late 1960s, Peter obtained a liquor license for his club 'The Penthouse - Sheffield'. However, this club only lasted for a year before Stringfellow sold it and moved to Leeds. In 1970, he opened the club 'Cinderella' in Leeds, and in 1973, he merged it with 'Rockafella' club. Later, Peter established clubs such as 'The Millionaire Club', 'Stringfellows Covent Garden', 'Hippodrome', 'Stringfellows - New York', 'Stringfellows - Miami', 'Stringfellows - Los Angeles', and others. Peter himself became known as the 'King of Clubs', which was also the title of his autobiography.
The Strip Club Industry and Personal Life
In the 2000s, Peter's popularity as a club owner increased with the rise of strip clubs in England. He became one of the promoters of strip clubs, considering the industry to be normal and not conflicting with moral standards. Those who opposed his opinion, he labeled as 'extreme feminists' and 'moralists'.
In terms of personal life, Peter divorced his first wife, Norma Williams, with whom he had a daughter named Karen. In 1967, he married Coral Wright, and they divorced in 1984. They had a son named Scot. Afterward, Peter was in an unofficial relationship with Frisbee Fox for 12 years before parting ways in 1996.
On Valentine's Day in 2009, Peter married 27-year-old ballerina Bella Wright. He currently resides in London and Majorca, where he has owned a boat for many years.
