Birth and Early Life
Peter Mark Richman was born into a Jewish family in Philadelphia in 1927. His father, Benjamin Richman, was an artist, while his mother, Yetta Dora (née Peck), was a homemaker.
Breakthrough in Acting
Richman made his film debut in 1956, starring in William Wyler's "Friendly Persuasion." He had already established himself as a television actor and was a member of the New York Actors Studio before relocating to Los Angeles in 1961.
Notable Roles
Richman gained fame for his portrayal of Nicholas "Nick" Cain in the films "Murder, She Said" and "The Killers" (both 1961), and the television series "Cain's Hundred." He later became known to soap opera fans as Channing-Creighton "C.C." Capwell in "Santa Barbara," becoming the second actor to play the role.
Horror Icon
Horror film enthusiasts will recognize Richman for his performance as Professor McCulloch, Rennie's uncle, in the 1989 slasher film "Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan."
Later Career
Richman's most recent screen appearances were in the 2011 films "The Mystery" and "After Wizard."
Personal Life
Married to Helen Richman since 1953, Richman has five children: Orien, Lucas, Kelly, Roger Lloyd, and Howard.
