Born on September 2, 1953, in the village of Ruchaevka, Belarus, the economist's early life was marked by humble beginnings.

After graduating high school in 1968, he pursued teaching at the Loev Pedagogical College. His passion for economics led him to the Belarusian State University, where he earned a degree in political economy with honors in 1981. Continuing his academic journey, he completed his PhD in 1986 with a dissertation on the development of economic science methodology.

Teaching and Research

Joining the Belarusian State University as a lecturer in 1981, he has dedicated himself to teaching and research. As заведующий (head) of the Department of Theoretical and Institutional Economics since 1997, he has played a pivotal role in advancing economic studies at the university.

In 2005, he obtained a doctorate from the prestigious Moscow State University, making significant contributions to the theory of economic science. His expertise was further recognized with the conferment of professorship in Belarus in 2007.
