Childhood and Early LifePetra Hřebíčková was born on September 20, 1979, in Hodonín, Czech Republic. Although her parents had no ties to the arts, Petra displayed an extraordinary talent from a young age, excelling in singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. Despite her natural abilities, she initially pursued a different career path, enrolling in a commercial academy.
Embracing the Theater
Hřebíčková's true calling beckoned, and she abandoned her studies to follow her passion for acting. She successfully auditioned for the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, where she began her journey into the world of theater. After a stint with the Brno City Theater, she joined the Zlín City Theater, where she made her breakthrough in Otakar Dvořák's play.
Theatrical Accolades
Hřebíčková's talent was recognized in 2009 with the prestigious Thalia Award for her portrayal of Marisha in the play "Marisha" by Vilém Mršík. This award marked a significant turning point in her career, and she soon joined the National Theater Prague, where she showcased her versatility in both classical and modern productions. Her performance as Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare's "Hamlet" earned her another Thalia nomination.
