Born into an influential aristocratic family of Podlasie, Kiszka was the son of Stanislaw Kiszka, Grand Hetman of Lithuania, and Sophia Montigird. He was a man of great wealth and influence, owning vast estates across Lithuania.
Military Career
In 1521, Kiszka was appointed воеvode of Polotsk and held that position until 1532. During this time, he also served as a starost of Drohiczyn and later as a castellan of Trakai. From 1532 onwards, he held the positions of castellan of Trakai and starost of Samogitia.
Diplomatic Skills
Kiszka's diplomatic abilities were evident in his leading role in embassies to Russia in 1522 and 1526. He was instrumental in negotiating ceasefires between Lithuania and its eastern neighbor.
