Phoebe Tonkin is an Australian actress and model, born on July 12, 1989, in Sydney. She began her training in various dance classes at the age of four, including classical ballet, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. At the age of twelve, she attended courses at the Australian Youth Theatre Wharf, which included works by Shakespeare, stagecraft, clowning, and musical theatre.
During her time at the prestigious girls' school, Queenwood, known for its theatre program, Phoebe also attended a drama studio and participated in school productions such as "Antigone," "The White Crane," and "The Venetian Twins." Every year, she performed in the school's traditional Shakespeare festival, and in her final year, she took first place for her role in "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
Career
For some time, Phoebe Tonkin's career was closely tied to theatre, as she continued to perform in amateur productions. Eventually, she was invited to play a mermaid in the series "H2O: Just Add Water," which ran for three seasons. After a busy schedule, Phoebe successfully auditioned for the role of the mean girl, Faye, in the series "The Secret Circle."
