Piotr Beczała is a Polish opera singer, known for his lyrical tenor voice. He received his initial education in Katowice and made his first appearances as an opera performer at the Landestheatre in Linz. Later, Beczała began regularly performing at the Zurich Opera, where he portrayed many famous roles, including Alfredo in "La Traviata" and Gustavo in "Un ballo in maschera" by Giuseppe Verdi.
