The Origin of Alternative Group

The organizers of a concert informed the group about the existence of a similarly named band. This prompted them to brainstorm for a new name, considering options such as "PENISfly!!!"

The Formation of the Band

In the winter of 2003, Dzmiter (bass) desired to form a band playing a genre similar to hardcore. He found a guitarist through an advertisement and invited him to a rehearsal space in a run-down garage.

Initial Challenges

A planned partnership with other musicians failed to materialize, and the guitarist proved to be skilled but unwilling to practice in the cold garage. Disheartened, they halted rehearsals.

A Glimmer of Hope

News of a rock festival reignited their enthusiasm. They recruited a drummer and guitarist, but a rehearsal at a college ended in chaos due to coordination issues. Shortly after, the festival was canceled.

Finding Direction

Undeterred, the group decided to record at a paid studio. They experienced difficulties with the guitarist and drummer. Despondent, Dzmiter and Fedor considered disbanding.

A New Beginning

On April 28th, Dzmiter, Fedor, and Sunny (drums) reunited, along with Plastic Fish members. Impressed by Sunny's drumming, they decided to continue as a trio.

The Selection of a Name

The search for a band name led to "Дрова," but they discovered the existence of a punk band with the same name. They considered various alternatives, including "PENISfly!!!," before settling on "ПнЕвМаНиЯ," a play on the Russian word for "pneumonia."

The First Concert and Departure of a Member

The band's debut performance took place on May 23rd at the Safari club in Minsk. After the concert, Snoop, who had assisted with rehearsals, left the group due to a perceived lack of value.

The Arrival of a Vocalist

On June 15th, Merzkiy joined the band as vocalist. His debut performance at NC on July 20th was marked by technical difficulties, but it nevertheless showcased the band's potential.

A New Era

The recruitment of a new drummer, Clown, initiated a shift in their musical style. They reworked their entire repertoire, resulting in a more technical and professional sound.
