Wojtaszek has represented Poland in numerous international events, including five Olympiads (2006-2014) and four European Team Championships (2005-2011). His achievements include participating in the Candidates Tournament in 2022, qualifying for the 2023 Candidates Tournament, and becoming a member of the Mikhail Chigorin Club, which recognizes players who have defeated world champions.
Supporting Role
In addition to his own competitive success, Wojtaszek has also played a crucial role as a second (assistant) to Viswanathan Anand during the 2012 World Chess Championship Match. His insights and analysis proved invaluable to Anand's title defense.
