Biography of Raphaella Spence
Raphaella Spence is an English artist known for her photorealistic paintings. She was born in London in 1978 and spent the first eight years of her life in France, where her family had relocated in the late 1970s. Upon their return to London, Raphaella began her art education at a school of fine arts.

Early Career
Raphaella's early works were academic still lifes, showcasing her talent and attention to detail. At the age of twelve, her family settled in Italy, and she continued her education at the English School of St. George in Rome. Inspired by the landscapes of the Umbrian countryside, Raphaella turned her focus to creating photorealistic landscapes.
Recognition and Exhibitions
In 2000, Raphaella had her first solo exhibition in Italy, which garnered both public and critical acclaim. Three years later, she held her first solo exhibition in the United States at the Bernarducci Meisel Gallery in New York City.
