Biography of Raphael Sbarge
Early Life and CareerRaphael Sbarge, an American actor, was born into a family deeply involved in the theatrical world. His mother worked as a costume designer, while his father was an artist, screenwriter, and director. He was named after the renowned artist of the Renaissance era. Sbarge made his acting debut at the age of 5 in the popular children's show "Sesame Street". In 1981, he made his first appearance on the theatrical stage in Joseph Papp's production of "Henry IV, Part 1". The following year, Sbarge performed in the Broadway production of "The Curse of an Aching Heart" alongside Faye Dunaway. He continued to return to New York theaters, participating in various productions such as "Hamlet", "Ah, Wilderness!", "Ghosts", "The Twilight of the Golds", "The Shadow Box", and "Voices in the Dark".

Movie and Television Career
Sbarge also had a significant presence in both film and television. He appeared in movies such as "Risky Business", "Vision Quest", "My Man Adam", "My Science Project", "Carnosaur", "The Hidden II", "Babes in Toyland", "Independence Day", "BASEketball", "Message in a Bottle", and "Pearl Harbor". In 2011, Sbarge landed a key role in the American television series "Once Upon a Time". He portrayed the character of psychiatrist Archie Hopper and his fairytale alter ego, Jiminy Cricket from "Pinocchio". Sbarge was initially captivated by the concept of the show after reading the script for the pilot episode, even though he believed the series would not succeed. However, "Once Upon a Time" surpassed his expectations and currently airs its third season, with Sbarge's character playing a prominent role.

Voice Acting and Environmental Activism
Aside from his on-screen endeavors, Sbarge actively engaged in voice acting. He lent his voice to various projects, including video games from the "Star Wars" universe, such as "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic", "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords", and "Star Wars: Republic Commando". He also voiced a character in the "Mass Effect" game series and portrayed Professor Zei in the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender". Currently, Sbarge serves as an executive producer for the project "On Begley Street", a web series documenting the deconstruction of actor Ed Begley Jr.'s house and the creation of the "greenest and most sustainable building in North America". Sbarge, Begley Jr., and Rachelle Carson Begley now lead the non-profit environmental organization "Green Wish", which raises funds for small environmental groups through national retail partnerships.

Personal Life
From 1994 to 2001, Sbarge was married to Lisa Akey, and they have two children together.
