Biography of Rasim Agamirov
Rasim Agamirov is an Azerbaijani and Russian athlete, specializing in judo. He has achieved numerous accolades and titles throughout his career, including being a Honored Master of Sports, a Master of Sports of the USSR International Class, a Master of Sports of the USSR in sambo, a two-time World Champion among Masters, a two-time European Champion among Masters, a three-time Russian Champion among Masters, a Champion of the World in judo among railway clubs, a five-time medalist of the USSR Championships in judo, a medalist of the 9th Spartakiade of the Peoples of the USSR, a medalist of the USSR Cup, a two-time Champion of the Armed Forces of the USSR in judo and sambo, and a Honored Coach of Russia.
Early Years and Training
Agamirov started his journey in judo and sambo at the Lokomotiv Sports Club in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the guidance of Tarlan Gasanov and Nadir Kasumov, both Honored Coaches of Azerbaijan. He trained at the club from 1980 to 1985. In 1985, he was enlisted in the Armed Forces of the USSR and continued his athletic career in the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSKA) in Moscow from 1985 to 1989. There, he was trained by Avel Kazachenkov, the Chief Coach of the Armed Forces of the USSR and a Honored Master of Sports of the USSR.
Education and Achievements
In 1990, Agamirov graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Physical Culture named after S.M. Kirov in Baku. Throughout his career, he achieved remarkable success, winning multiple championships and medals at the national and international level.
