From Wrestler to Musician: An Unconventional Path

At the age of 13, Richard's parents enrolled him in wrestling. For seven years, he dedicated himself to the sport, inspiring the character of the wrestler in Rammstein's well-known music video, "Mein Teil." However, music remained his true calling.

A Musical Awakening

Richard's music teacher recognized his rhythmic abilities and encouraged him to pursue formal training. He enrolled in the GDR's jazz school, becoming the only member of Rammstein with a musical education.
