Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Tarja Turunen, a renowned Finnish soprano and former lead vocalist of the symphonic metal band Nightwish, began her musical journey at the tender age of six. At eighteen, she relocated to Kuopio to pursue studies at the Sibelius Academy. In 1996, her path crossed with Tuomas Holopainen, who invited her to join his musical project, Nightwish.

Rise with Nightwish

With her powerful operatic voice and distinctive performance style, Tarja became an integral part of Nightwish. In 2002, she showcased her versatility by lending her vocals to Nightwish's album "Century Child" and Beto Vazquez Infinity's album.
