Early Life and Career

Riz Ahmed Durmisi, a Danish football defender, was born into an Albanian family. His football journey began in 2000 when he joined Brøndby IF's academy. Durmisi made his Danish Superliga debut on August 26, 2012, as a substitute for Jan Kristiansen against Esbjerg.

Breakout at Brøndby and Transfer to Spain

In 2013, Durmisi extended his contract with Brøndby until 2016. He scored his first goal for the club on November 10 against Aarhus. His performances attracted interest from Toulouse and Fenerbahçe.

In May 2016, Durmisi signed a five-year contract with Spanish club Real Betis. He made his La Liga debut on August 20 against Barcelona. His first goal for Betis came on February 25, 2017, against Sevilla.

International Career

Durmisi represented Denmark at the U-17 European Championship in Serbia in 2011, appearing in matches against Serbia, France, England, and Germany. Later that year, he played at the U-17 World Cup in Mexico against Brazil and Ivory Coast.

On June 8, 2015, Durmisi made his senior debut for Denmark in a friendly against Montenegro, replacing Simon Poulsen in the second half. He also participated in the U-21 European Championship in the Czech Republic that year, playing against the host nation.
