Early Life and Education

Rizvan Garabagly, an Azerbaijani architect, was born on January 10, 1956, in the village of Shukurbayli, Fizuli district. He graduated from Shukurbayli secondary school in 1973. In 1984, he completed his architectural studies at the Architecture Faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction with a degree in Architecture.

Scientific Career

Garabagly's scientific career began in 1990 at the University of Architecture and Construction, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (AzUPAS), where he became a senior laboratory assistant. In the same year, he enrolled in the institute's postgraduate program. He defended his dissertation on "The Architecture of Kerbalai Safihan and the Religious Architecture of Karabakh" and was awarded the title of Candidate of Architecture. He currently holds the position of leading researcher at the institute and is working on his doctoral dissertation on "The Architecture of Karabakh."

Membership in Professional Organizations

Since 1993, Garabagly has been a member of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan.
