In 1996, with his extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in Eastern Europe, Robert Marshall was appointed as the head of the Pfizer representation in Russia, the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company.

The company also has a division for over-the-counter drugs and veterinary medicines. However, Pfizer is best known, particularly in Russia, for Viagra.
