Robin Charles Thicke, an American-Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, and composer, was born on March 10, 1977. He specializes in the R&B music genre. Thicke's father, Alan Thicke, is a Canadian actor, and his mother, Gloria Loring, is an actress and singer known for her role in the film "Days of Our Lives". Robin's parents divorced when he was seven years old.

Early Career and Songwriting Success
At the beginning of his career, Robin wrote several songs for groups like "Sexual Attention" and "Brownstone". He also collaborated with Jordan Knight, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis on their album "Jordan Knight". Until 2005, he wrote, sang, and recorded songs under the name Robin Thicke.
