Early Life and Career
Rolando Mandragora was born on June 29, 1997, in Naples, Italy. He began his football career at the youth academy of Genoa.
Professional Debut
In 2014, Mandragora was promoted to Genoa's first team. He made his Serie A debut on October 29 against Juventus. In 2015, he joined Pescara on loan to gain experience. He debuted in Serie B on September 11 against Perugia.
Move to Juventus
In early 2016, Mandragora signed a five-year contract with Juventus for €6 million. He remained with Pescara on loan until the summer.
Setback and Recovery
In August 2016, Mandragora underwent foot surgery, which sidelined him for four months. He returned to Juventus in February 2017 and made his debut for the club on April 23 against Genoa. That year, he won the Serie A title.
Loan to Crotone
In 2017, Mandragora joined Crotone on loan. He made his debut on August 20 against Milan. On September 24, he scored his first goal for Crotone against Benevento.
International Career
Mandragora represented Italy at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea. He played in matches against South Africa, Japan, France, England, and Uruguay (twice). Italy won the bronze medal.
