Biography of Roman Zhukov
Russian pop musician Roman Zhukov is a star of the Soviet and Russian music scene, a vocalist, arranger, and composer, and a former member of the group "Mirage". The pop singer burst onto the music scene with songs like "I love you, girls, I love you, boys", "First Snow", "Blind Sunrise", and "My Girls". His peak of popularity came in the late 1980s and early 1990s, but even decades later, Roman Zhukov's hits are still loved and sung. In 2017, Roman Vladimirovich Zhukov celebrated a double anniversary: 50 years since his birth and 30 years on stage.

Childhood and Youth
The future musician and singer was born in the spring of 1967 in Orel, but soon his family moved to Makhachkala, where Roman spent his childhood and youth. Roman Zhukov's desire to sing and his musical talent emerged at an early age. His parents sent him to a music school, which he successfully graduated from. He first performed in front of a large audience in Makhachkala: as a member of the Youth House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren orchestra, the teenager delighted the audience at festive concerts and city events. In 1984, Roman Zhukov came to conquer the Russian capital. He enrolled in an aerospace engineering college, but music remained his main focus. Therefore, the student found an outlet for his talents in the ensemble "Yunost". Zhukov received his musical education at the Gnesin Academy.

Music
In 1987, Roman was invited to the popular group "Mirage", which worked in the Eurodisco style. Zhukov initially played the keyboards, but soon expanded his range of talents: in collaboration with Sergei Kuznetsov, the founder of the cult group "Laskoviy May", he composed songs. After Svetlana Razina left the group, Zhukov participated in the recording of her debut solo album as a composer and arranger. In 1988, Zhukov left "Mirage" and released his debut solo album, titled "Dust of Dreams". It included the hits "First Snow" and "Night Distance". To promote the album, Roman Zhukov went on a concert tour, performing in major cities in Russia. The following year, the rising star of the music scene formed a group called "Marshal" and gave fans a new collection called "Maximal Version of Discotheques". The song "I love you, girls, I love you, boys" from the album instantly became a hit that is still associated with Roman Zhukov today.

In 1990, "Marshal" toured the country and neighboring countries, giving a total of five hundred concerts. The publication "Moskovsky Komsomolets" called the vocalist a super-tourist. In 1991, Roman Zhukov's creative biography was enriched with the album "Milky Way", which sold a million copies. But two years later, the band disbanded, and its leader moved to America. In 1994, Roman Zhukov reminded fans of himself with an album that was named after his main hit, declaring his love to girls and boys. The album included songs like "First Snow", "My Girls", and "Fairy".
In the mid-1990s, the artist delighted Russian-speaking music lovers in Germany with a concert, and at the end of 1995, he returned to the Russian capital. Over the next two years, the singer lived and worked in Italy, where he recorded old, familiar hits in Italian and English.
In 1997, Roman Zhukov organized a recording studio in Russia, which released the popular series "Legends of Russian Disco". In the studio, the singer, using the creative pseudonym Nemo, recorded an album of compositions called "Back to the Future".
During the wild 90s, the musician released the album "Return". The album featured old songs in a new arrangement and new compositions. Roman's hits once again filled the radio waves, reminding everyone of the star.
In the 2000s, Roman Zhukov gave nostalgic fans new songs and albums: in 2003 - "Blue Frost", in 2005 - "Dust of Dreams".
In 2011, the vocalist and arranger revealed himself as a producer: together with singer Olga Afanasyeva, who took on the creative pseudonym Paola, he recorded four songs, including their collaboration "Transfers". The song was made into a music video by director Elena Vinyarskaya.
In 2013, Roman Zhukov broke his eight-year silence and reminded everyone of himself with the album "D.I.S.C.O.", releasing a vibrant music video for the title song "Disco Night".
Personal Life
Roman Zhukov is a rare exception in the world of show business, as he is not the subject of yellow tabloid gossip. His personal life has not been a source of scandals for gossip lovers. He has a large and strong family. Having met the beautiful Elena in 2005, the 38-year-old singer took her to the registry office a month later. The celebration took place in a Moscow restaurant, and six months later, they were married in an Orthodox church.
In 2009, the couple had a second wedding in Las Vegas, choosing a church that Elvis Presley and Priscilla had visited before. The Zhukovs played a trick: they told the municipality that they were not married, they just had the same last name. The Americans believed them.
The Zhukovs have seven children, who were born in different cities and countries. Their first child, Polina, was born in the Russian capital. Elizaveta-Victoria - in the heart of the UK, son Nikita - in Limassol, Cyprus. The girls Angelika and Sofia-Victoria took their first breaths in Los Angeles and Nice. The younger children - Victoria-Elizabet and Stephen Anthony - were born in Sydney, Australia, and Munich, the administrative center of Bavaria, respectively.
In the summer of 2012, the couple's life was overshadowed by tragedy: their 5-year-old daughter Elizaveta-Victoria died after receiving an injury on a swing. This happened in Moscow when Roman and Elena were preparing to become parents for the sixth time in Sydney.
According to Zhukov, the tragedy brought the family closer together and taught them to appreciate every day spent together.
The children bring joy to their parents. They have shown themselves as models and, inheriting their father's vocal abilities, are taking their first steps on the music stage.
Current Life
In 2017, the Zhukovs celebrated their silk wedding anniversary. In the same year, the Russian show business star returned to the restaurant business: in the Lazarevsky district of sunny Sochi, Zhukov opened a karaoke bar called "Myata", where anyone who wishes can sing and enjoy Eastern cuisine.
Fans can learn about the developing restaurant business from recent photos on Zhukov's Instagram, dated 2018. One of the first stars of Russian show business to congratulate Roman was Shura.
In 2017, the singer gave his fans a new composition called "Game", which he recorded a music video for in 2018.
