Early Life and Education
Armenian political figure and renowned architect, the subject was born and raised in Armenia. He graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1960, earning a degree in architecture.
Architectural Career
The architect became a member of the Union of Architects of Armenia in 1964. He also served as a corresponding member of the Engineering Academy of Armenia. As a professor at the Yerevan Architectural and Construction Institute, he shared his expertise with students.
Public Service
In 1975, the architect became the head of the architectural studio at the "Yerevanproekt" Institute. His public service career flourished in the 1990s when he served as the Chief Architect of Yerevan from 1990 to 1991.
Government Positions
From 1991 to 1996, the architect held the position of Head of the State Administration of Architecture and Urban Development of Armenia. Subsequently, he became the First Deputy Minister of Urban Development from 1996 to 1997. From 1997 onward, he served as the Chief Advisor to the Minister of Urban Development and Chairman of the Urban Development Council of Armenia.
