Rosario Isabel Dawson was born on May 9, 1979, in New York City, USA, to Isabel Celeste, a singer-songwriter, and Greg Dawson, a construction worker. Isabel gave birth to Rosario when she was 16 years old. Rosario's biological father was Patrick Harris, whom she has never met. She always considered Greg Dawson her father, who raised and raised her. In 1983, Greg and Isabel had a son, Clay. When Rosario was five and Clay was just a year old, the Dawsons were forced to move to the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They settled in an abandoned house that Greg and Isabel renovated themselves.
