Biography of Roscoe Born

Roscoe Born was a popular actor known for his green eyes and brown hair, who always had a following of women. However, he was not quick to tie the knot and preferred to keep his personal life a secret.

Early Life and Education

Roscoe Born was born in Topeka, Kansas. He spent two years studying at the theater department of Boston University before continuing his acting education at a prestigious studio under the guidance of actress Yuta Haygen.

Career

Roscoe Born worked extensively in theater, portraying a diverse range of characters. He then ventured into television soap operas, gaining fame for his role in "Santa Barbara." It was during his time on the show that his on-screen lover, played by actress Roberta Bizaou, became his real-life partner. After four years of living together, Roscoe and Roberta got married, and in October 1997, they welcomed their daughter, Alberta-Mary.

Roscoe also appeared in other popular soap operas, including "One Life to Live," "Paper Dolls," and "All My Children." He also starred in television films such as "City," "Chasing Sarah Hardy," and "Lady Mobster." For two years, he played the character Joe Novak in the series "Ryan's Hope," a man who would commit murder or arson without hesitation. Surprisingly, such roles did not faze Roscoe. He believed that as long as the character was a loving father and husband, audiences would accept even the most ruthless of villains.

Recognition

Roscoe Born's talented performance in "Santa Barbara" earned him a nomination for the "Best Actor" category at the 1990 Emmy Awards. A year later, the popular magazine "Soap Opera" recognized his on-screen romance in the "Quinn and Kelly" storyline, as well as the captivating love triangle involving Quinn, Kelly, and Robert.
