Early Life and Education

Florence Pugh was born on January 3, 1996, in Oxford, England, to a restaurateur father and a ballerina mother. Her older brother, Toby Sebastian, is also an actor and musician. She spent her early years in Spain, where she first performed in a school play at the age of six. In 2007, she enrolled at Wychwood School and later attended St. Edward's School in 2009, where alumni include Sir Laurence Olivier, Kit Harington, and Emilia Clarke. Pugh is an accomplished singer-songwriter and plays the guitar and piano.

Early Career

Pugh's film debut came in 2014 with the thriller "The Falling," co-starring Maisie Williams. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best British Debut at the BFI London Film Festival. She subsequently appeared in the television film "Studio City" and the series "Marcella."
