Biography of Rossella Jardini
Rossella Jardini is an Italian fashion designer and the creative director of the fashion house 'Moschino'. She started her career as a salesperson in the fashion industry before being drawn to the process of creation. In 1976, Jardini met Nicola Trussardi and became his assistant, where she began working with clothing and leather as a designer. Little is known about Jardini's early life, but she was born in 1952 in Bergamo, Italy. Soon after, Jardini, along with a couple of friends, created her own clothing line.

Working with Moschino
After meeting Franco Moschino, Jardini became his assistant and it was during her time at the fashion house 'Moschino' that she gained attention as a talented and creative designer. She developed numerous accessories for the renowned brand and brought many new elements to the collections, quickly establishing a strong position within 'Moschino'. Today, the success of 'Moschino' is, among other things, attributed to Jardini's immense contribution, as she was able to transform many aspects of the brand.

Creative Director of Moschino
Following Franco's untimely death in 1994, Jardini took over as the creative director of the house. Interestingly, long before his tragic passing, Franco Moschino expressed his desire for Jardini to lead his company if something unexpected were to happen to him. Under Jardini's leadership, 'Moschino' became more modern while still preserving its traditional humorous notes. Jardini is known for her remarkable ability to combine concepts of 'chic' and 'humor'.
Inheriting Franco Moschino's Spirit
Throughout her years working as Franco Moschino's right-hand, Jardini absorbed his original and unparalleled sense of humor. After the initial years of uncertainty following Franco's death, even the most skeptical critics acknowledged that the brand's collections maintained the distinct 'Moschino' spirit. Jardini successfully managed to capture and embody the challenging fashion philosophy of the eccentric, rebellious, and genius designer Franco Moschino.
Continuing Franco Moschino's Legacy
"I still believe that Moschino is simply a genius. I can't explain it any other way: he has been gone for a long time, but he still hits the mark," Jardini confessed in an interview. According to fashion critics, Franco Moschino would likely be satisfied with the current collections of his fashion brand if he could see them. Today, under the guidance of Rossella Jardini, 'Moschino' is described as a brand that continues to thrive despite Franco's absence.
