Ruslan Vladyko: Life and Legacy
Ruslan Vladyko, a renowned musician and member of the Belarusian rock band "Lyapis Trubetskoy," passed away after an extended period of coma, which he had been in since the summer of 2019. The announcement of his demise was made on January 19 by the band's producer, Yevgeny Kolmykov.
Musical Journey
Vladyko's musical career was intertwined with "Lyapis Trubetskoy." He performed with the band until its dissolution in 2014. Following the band's split, he joined the project "Trubetskoy" as a guitarist.
Tragic Incident
On June 6, 2019, Vladyko's life took a tragic turn when he was brutally assaulted and robbed in Minsk. The incident left him with a severe head injury, leading to a coma. He was found unconscious in a Minsk bar after being attacked by unknown assailants.
Medical Intervention
Vladyko was immediately hospitalized and underwent surgery. He was connected to a ventilator to support his breathing. From that point onward, the musician remained in a coma.
Legacy Through Trubetskoy
The "Trubetskoy" project was established on September 1, 2014, by former members of "Lyapis Trubetskoy." Led by Pavel Bulatnikov, the band continues to honor the legacy of their fallen comrade through their performances and recordings.
