Early Life
Ruslan Zibransky was born on December 16, 1970, in Volkov, Ukraine. His family soon moved to Lviv, where Zibransky began attending the Karpaty Lviv football academy at the age of ten.
Club Career
Karpaty LvivZibransky spent four years at Karpaty, rising from a novice to a first-team regular. He played over 100 matches for the club, scoring 19 goals in the Soviet and Ukrainian championships. In 1990, Karpaty toured the United States, where Zibransky scored six goals in five games.
Evis (later SK Mykolaiv)
In 1992, Zibransky joined Mykolaiv-based club Evis. He scored 17 goals in his first season, helping the team to win promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League. In 1995, he was diagnosed with a severe form of hepatitis, which sidelined him for several months.
Kryvbas
After recovering from illness, Zibransky signed for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in 1998. He scored 2 goals in half a season, including the 200th goal for the club in the Ukrainian Premier League.
Later Career
Zibransky spent the remainder of his career with a number of clubs, including Prykarpattia Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, and Tavriya Simferopol. He briefly returned to Mykolaiv in 2002 before retiring as a player in 2003.
Coaching Career
Amateur ClubsZibransky began his coaching career in 2004 with the amateur team Metallurg on НГЗ. Under his leadership, Metallurg won the championship of their region, with Zibransky himself emerging as the top scorer in the competition. He also coached Voronivka, becoming the team's manager in 2006. Under Zibransky, Voronivka won the regional second group championship and later the regional title.
MFC Mykolaiv
In 2010, Zibransky was appointed head coach of the second-tier MFC Mykolaiv. He led the team to first place in Group A, securing promotion to the Ukrainian First League. In the 2011-12 season, Mykolaiv faced a significant financial crisis. Despite these challenges, Zibransky's team managed to avoid relegation. In 2013, Zibransky left his position as head coach, citing exhaustion from a difficult season.
Style of Play
Zibransky's playing style was characterized by strong technical and physical abilities. He was known for his ability to accelerate and strike the ball at any moment, often deciding the outcome of matches with well-placed shots.
Personal Life
Zibransky was married twice. He has a daughter, Yulia, from his first marriage, and a son, Marko, from his second marriage.
