Carlos Salcedo: Mexican Football Star
Early Career and MLS DebutCarlos Salcedo's footballing journey began at the academy of Guadalajara before he ventured abroad to play for the youth teams of UANL Tigres and Real Salt Lake in the United States. On May 5, 2013, he made his MLS debut for Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Return to Mexico and Italian Sojourn
In 2015, Salcedo returned to his homeland and signed with Guadalajara. He scored his first goal for the team in a match against Monterrey. In 2016, he was loaned to Italian Serie A club Fiorentina, making his debut against AC Milan that September.
Bundesliga Success
In 2017, Salcedo was loaned to German club Eintracht Frankfurt with an option to purchase. He debuted in the Bundesliga against Borussia Mönchengladbach and has since become a key player for the club.
International Career
Salcedo made his international debut for Mexico in 2015 in a friendly against the United States. He was part of the Mexican squad that participated in the 2015 Copa América in Chile and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, scoring a goal against Fiji. Additionally, he played in the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia, making appearances against New Zealand and Portugal.
