Ruslan Zeynalov

Ruslan Zeynalov is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder.

Early Career and Club Career

Born and raised in Luhansk, Zeynalov began his football career at the Luhansk Sports Boarding School, where Oleksii V. Aleksyeyev served as his first coach. He went on to represent Zorya Luhansk, Riga, Stal Alchevsk, Naftovyk-Ukrnafta, Krymteplytsia, Desna Chernihiv, Oleksandria, and Krymteplytsia again. Notably, he helped Stal Alchevsk gain promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League.

International Career

In May 2008, Zeynalov was called up to the Azerbaijan national team by German manager Berti Vogts for two friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Andorra. However, a pre-match injury prevented him from making an appearance.

Achievements

Throughout his career, Zeynalov has achieved several accolades, including:

- Winner of the Ukrainian First League (3): 2004/05, 2006/07, 2010/11

- Silver medalist of the Ukrainian First League (1): 2013/14
Personal Life

Zeynalov is married and has a daughter. Coming from a mixed-heritage family, his mother is Russian and his father is Azerbaijani who has long resided in Ukraine. He holds a secondary education degree.
