Early Life and Education
Sally Barkow was born on July 10, 1989, in Nashotah, Wisconsin. She began sailing at a young age, gaining proficiency by the age of ten. Guided by numerous mentors, including her coaches, brothers, and other family members, Barkow attended the prestigious University Lake School before pursuing a degree at Old Dominion University, graduating in 2002.

As a member of the US Sailing Team Alphagraphics and Pine Lake Yacht Club, Barkow currently sets her sights on the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Together with her teammates Debbie Capozzi and Carrie Howe, she aims to represent the United States and showcase their exceptional skills in unity and professionalism.
