The Youngest Alligator Tamer

Growing up on an alligator farm surrounded by 350 killer reptiles, Samantha Young began her serious battle with them at a very young age. Inspired by her parents, who are both professional crocodile wrestlers, the nine-year-old girl entered her first fight at the age of six. She claims that her father didn't even come into contact with crocodiles until he was five, after being bitten by one of the reptiles. Samantha admits that she was initially very scared, but she always knew her father was watching, ready to intervene if the situation got out of control.

A Fearless Trainer

Today, Samantha is a fearless trainer, a Crocodile Dundee in a skirt, teaching adults how to overcome 2.5-meter alligators at the Colorado Gators Reptile Park. Among her students are even Marines who want to learn the intricacies of this dangerous art. Samantha says that all you need to do is position yourself on the back of the alligator in such a way that its mouth and neck are under your control. Then, you need to pull its head back - and that's how the alligator taming is done. It will inevitably obey you.

The Young Family and the Alligator Farm

Erwin and Lynn Young opened their alligator farm in 1987 when they brought in a hundred one-year-old reptiles. When news of their toothy neighbors spread throughout the county, people became curious and sought a convenient opportunity to see the alligators up close. To prevent accidents, the young family decided to grant access to their reptiles for a separate fee. Currently, 25 reptiles from the original hundred still live on the farm.

A Chance to Witness and Try

Visitors must pay $104 for the chance to see Samantha handle the crocodiles. If desired, anyone can also try their hand at taming the thick-skinned creatures. Of course, no one will release a 200-300 kg alligator, but it is quite possible to test your strength against small crocodiles.
