Biography of Scott Caan
Scott Andrew Caan was born on August 23, 1976 in Los Angeles, California. He is an American actor, best known as the son of renowned actor James Caan. His mother, Sheila Ryan, was an actress and model. Scott's paternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Germany.

Early Life and Career
Scott Caan's parents divorced when he was just one year old. His father's subsequent marriages brought him four step-siblings.

Caan initially ventured into the music industry, working as part of the technical crew for the joint tour of rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain. He was also a member of the hip-hop collective The Whooliganz, along with producer and fellow MC The Alchemist.

After the concert tour, Caan decided to pursue acting and enrolled at the Playhouse West acting school in Los Angeles. He began his acting career in the late 1990s, with small roles in low-budget independent films. In 1999, he landed his first major role in the commercially successful film "Varsity Blues." He followed this with other notable projects such as "Saturn" (also known as "Speed of Life"), "Ready To Rumble" with David Arquette, and "American Outlaws" with Colin Farrell.
Later Career
In 2003, Caan tried his hand at directing and received an award for his film "Dallas 362" at the Las Vegas Film Festival. He continued to work on a range of independent and low-budget films, including the popular "Ocean's" trilogy, where he played the character Turk Malloy.
In 2005, Caan reunited with his "Varsity Blues" co-star Paul Walker in the action-adventure film "Into the Blue." In 2006, he wrote, directed, and acted in a supporting role in the comedy film "The Dog Problem."
In June 2009, Caan made a guest appearance on the TV series "Entourage." Currently, he is involved in three projects: the TV movie "Cop House" and the films "A Beginner's Guide to Endings," a dark comedy, and "Exit 102," a drama.
